Creative Direction and Design for Made by Nachoβs new kibble
Made by Nacho needed to optimize its dry food packaging for an at-shelf shopping experience. They also wanted to get more credit for the culinary expertise they were bringing to the brand and carefully crafted recipes. Being that this is a premium product, I needed to improve the overall scale of design elements and typography to achieve a level of finesse. The hierarchy of claims and information was also a pain point for the packaging design. I created a design system for primary, secondary, and tertiary claims to facilitate easy reading and decision-making at-shelf. I also designed an icon system that communicated food values or recipe details that cat parents would seek out.
